The Data Business Development Manager is a product specialist responsible for partnering with Forrester account representatives to sell our syndicated and custom B2B and B2C data and insights products to new prospects. The fundamental elements of this role revolve around identifying potential buyers, cultivating and responding to sales leads, designing campaigns that attract clients who need consumer and business insight, and negotiating with clients to close deals. This position requires a successful sales track record and strong communication and collaboration skills, as it involves working with a broad cross-section of Forrester sales representatives and our broader data team.
Key attributes for this role are collaborating with Forrester’s direct sales organizations throughout the sale process to identify and generate new business opportunities for our syndicated and custom data products, aligning against client business goals, negotiating final terms and conditions, and closing business.

Job Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute against an assigned business quota within a defined territory, maintain an appropriate sales pipeline, and produce accurate and timely business forecasts based on your activities.
• Promote data products within the sales force, be the trusted data specialist, and create business development campaigns that generate leads, interest, and opportunity to sell Forrester’s data solutions to potential and existing clients.
• Understand the changing business issues and needs that our potential data clients face.
• Work directly with the broader data team to identify client needs and map their business challenges to Forrester capabilities.
• Develop and present customized value propositions based on identified prospect needs and promote our syndicated and custom data solutions to potential clients.
• Lead client communications during proposal walk-through discussions, and drive the client decision process to closure.
• Follow all processes for clean transitions of new business sales to the assigned member of the data insights management team.

• Experience selling B2B or B2C data or data services to marketing and strategy executives at large corporations.

• Familiarity with the language and fundamentals of market research, including offline versus online survey panels, household versus individual samples, and primary versus syndicated research benefits.
• Superior communication and collaboration skills with the ability to sell externally as well as internally.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for both internal and external clients, the ability to sell through storytelling and problem solving.
• Effective organization and time management skills.
• The ability to collaborate across multiple internal organizations to meet the needs of the client.
• B.S./B.A. degree.
• A willingness to travel as needed.

Forrester Research is seeking a Principal Analyst to help executive-level clients address customer experience challenges. This person will serve as a thought leader on topics ranging from how to measure the financial value of customer experience initiatives to how to implement a customer experience transformation program.
Our ideal candidate has experience developing customer-led organizations or leading customer experience transformation programs. He or she must be able to inspire clients with forward-looking examples and best practices for improving customer experiences.

The Principal Analyst works as part of a small high-performance team within our customer experience practice and collaborates with others in all aspects of the job. Responsibilities include:
• Develop a deep understanding of our executive-level customer experience clients and the key challenges they face.
• Conduct primary research and synthesize data on topics such as how to design breakthrough interactions, how to quantify the value of these interactions, and how to implement enterprisewide customer experience transformation initiatives.
• Help our clients anticipate how customer experience will evolve over the next five years and how they can capitalize on these expected changes.
Write up to 12 in-depth research documents per year that address the issues that are top-of-mind with our target clients.
