Job Title: Senior Public Relations Specialist/PR Manager

technology research companies in the world. The mission of the corporate
communications team is to support and enhance the Forrester brand
globally. The Senior Public Relations Specialist/PR Manager will manage
Forrester’s PR effort in Asia Pacific. Key activities include
traditional media relations, social media promotion, and the placement
of Forrester executives and analysts at influential industry events. The
Senior PR Specialist/PR Manager will focus on four key markets: China,
Singapore, Australia, and India. The Senior PR Specialist/PR Manager
collaborates with colleagues around the world and is a trusted advisor
to business stakeholders. The best candidate for this position is a
person with strong media relationships in the markets with a relentless
energy for media, passion for storytelling, clear and concise
communication skills, the ability to become a trusted PR resource to
senior business stakeholders, and an innovative mindset to uncover new
opportunities using creative solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Promote
Forrester’s research, data and analysis to the most influential
business, technology, and marketing journalists, bloggers, and industry
influencers in Asia Pacific. This includes:
1)
developing media outreach strategy in target markets, writing and
distributing pitches, creating media lists, drafting thought leadership
articles, organizing regularly occurring media tours;
2) aggressively using social media tools to promote Forrester’s thought-leadership and engaging with social influencers
3)
building pre-event awareness, ensuring on-site media attendance and
coverage, and coordinating on-site press/blogger attendees and
activities.
• Collaborate with organizers at the top business, technology, and marketing conferences in Asia Pacific. This includes:
1) placing Forrester analysts and executives as speakers at those events;
2) working proactively with event organizers to maximize Forrester’s exposure at events;
3) working with marketing and sales colleagues to maximize impact of speaking engagements.
• Communicate PR successes using available PR measurement tools.
• Partner
with local sales and marketing teams by providing relevant PR
intelligence for renewing, enriching, and winning business.
• Assist with general corporate communications activities in region as needed.
Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, marketing, business, journalism, or related field.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

• A high degree of individual initiative as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.
• The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
