Senior Analysts/Analysts conduct innovative research and deliver advice through written reports, consulting, client inquiries, and speeches. As a part of Forrester’s infrastructure and operations (I&O) research team in Asia Pacific, this Senior Analyst/Analyst serves professionals who are responsible for the success of their firm’s I&O strategies across the region.
 
The successful candidate writes to, presents to, and advises Infrastructure & Operations Professionals and other IT and business decision-makers about Forrester’s research into IT operations. This includes help with people, process, and technology advice for data center transformation and private cloud enablement, server and storage platform selection, virtualization strategies, and broader IT service management strategies. Moreover, the candidate is expected to advise senior I&O leaders on a series of IT operations and service management trends, such as how to help extend asset management to virtual infrastructure, how to implement self-service portals as part of a service desk strategy, and how to integrate service desk with outsourced and cloud computing environments.
 
Candidates need a strong understanding of the business and technology issues facing these executives today and an appetite for conducting and writing research to stay abreast of the issues.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Senior Analysts/Analysts work as part of a small high-performance team and collaborate with others in all aspects of the job. They are expected to:
 
Develop a deep understanding of what Forrester clients require to be successful as Infrastructure & Operations Professionals.
Conduct research into key aspects of the responsibilities of Infrastructure & Operations Professionals, including IT operations skill sets, organizational trends, and IT service management architecture and operations strategies.
Help define the future of the I&O landscape by painting an accurate, forward-looking view and predicting the effect of new technologies and strategies. They also help clients identify which technologies matter and the steps to take today to drive economic value.
Write four long research documents per year that convey new ideas in a rich business context. These reports typically: 1) introduce new thinking about successful business and technology strategies and best and next practices; 2) present strategic organization and technology implementation plans; 3) compare new technologies or services and their potential to help clients solve their business challenges (e.g., via a Forrester Wave™); or 4) quantify the return on investment for new business technology investments.
Create forward-thinking content for all of our I&O clients in a variety of formats, such as traditional Forrester documents, social media streams like blogging, interactive tools, and    templates.
Collaborate with the Forrester Leadership Boards Infrastructure & Operations Council team to contribute to the design and facilitation of member meetings and conference calls with the membership.
Write eight short research documents/blog posts per year on I&O technologies, industry events, and/or competitive market dynamics.
Consult with clients to apply Forrester’s research in the context of their specific business environment and help solve their problems through inquiry and advisory.
Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry-related events, and deliver client webinars.
Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker; build relationships with senior Infrastructure & Operations Professionals, as well as with the technology vendors that serve them and the journalists who cover the sector; and participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries as necessary.

The Data Operations Specialist (DOS) is a critical member of Forrester’s Forrsights B2B data team. As a team member specializing in survey data collection and analysis, the DOS manages online surveys, including programming, testing, quality monitoring, data cleaning, and deliverable creation. The DOS is also responsible for survey project management, which involves timeline management, coordinating outside vendors, and working with content experts to draft questionnaires. 
 
The role involves supporting internal teams by managing the design, programming, fielding, and deliverable creation for B2B online and telephonic surveys. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and comfortable working with a geographically dispersed team. We are seeking team members who are detail-focused and able to manage projects under time-critical business deadlines. The ideal candidate has prior experience in managing survey data, statistical training, and hands-on experience with software tools such as Excel, SPSS, and survey programming tools such as Qualtrics.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Program online surveys of moderate complexity (including branching logic) using tools like Qualtrics.
Test and monitor surveys prior to and during fielding to ensure the highest standards of data quality.

Write eight short research documents per year on interactive marketing and eBusiness technologies, industry events, and/or competitive market dynamics.
Consult with clients to apply Forrester’s research in the context of their specific business environment, and help solve their problems through inquiry and advisory.
Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry-related events, and deliver client webinars.
Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker. The Data Operations Specialist is part of Forrester’s data operations team, reporting to the director, data operations, and insights. The Data Operations Specialist takes responsibility for programming Forrester’s consumer surveys using the Qualtics platform, as well as managing and maintaining survey data files, ensuring they are uploaded and functioning in several online platforms.
